An Unusual ABC Day at the Zoo is an exciting adventure that begins with an arrogant ape traveling through Creative Cove and turns into a tale of the zoo animals’ adventures. As you read the story, you realize that it is being told through the imagination of the one visiting the zoo. An Unusual ABC Day at the Zoo uses an alphabetic rhythm and eye-catching art that is fun for all ages. The author wrote this story with education in mind. As you walk through Creative Cove, the story allows you to talk with your child about the different animals and how silly it would be to really see them doing the activities portrayed throughout the book. It allows you to practice counting, rhythmic reading, word patterns, and deductive reasoning with your child.

THE TEN TRUTHS (BY K.B.) 1. THE COSMOS, UNIVERSE, OUTER SPACE, ETC. ARE REALLY THE KINGDOM OF GOD. 2. THE GREATEST TRUTH OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS THE GOLDEN RULE. 3. EARTHLINGS ARE SOULS WITH BODIES, NOT BODIES WITH SOULS. 4. THERE IS LIFE AFTER RELIGION. IT IS CALLED SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT OR THE REVELATION OF THE SOUL. IT IS YOUR UNIQUE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. 5. OUR EARTHLY LIFETIME IS JUST ONE OF MANY UNCOUNTABLE LIFETIMES ON DIFFERENT WORLDS THAT WILL EVENTUALLY BRING US TO GOD. WHEN YOU DIE YOU CAN BE REINCARNATED ON THIS WORLD, GO TO ANOTHER WORLD, GO TO A COUNCIL FOR ADVICE, OR GO TO SCHOOL. 6. ALL EARTHLY RELIGIONS ARE MAN-MADE AND ARE BASED ON MYTHOLOGY AND FAITH. 7. BY DESIGN, THE WORLD IS ABOUT MONEY, RELIGION IS ABOUT CONTROL, AND SEX IS ABOUT PLEASURE. 8. GOD IS NO RESPECT OF PERSONS. HE CARES ONLY ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE, NOT WHAT YOU DO. 9. THE ONLY JUDGMENTAL SIN ON EARTH IS DELIBERATELY HURTING ANOTHER PERSON OUT OF REVENGE, OR FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL GAIN. THIS TRUTH SHOWS THAT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE A MYTH, CREATED BY MOSES TO CONTROL THE HEBREWS. 10. BE IN THE WORLD, BUT NOT OF THE WORLD. MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN.

The 20-year-old Len Thorne joined the RAF in May 1940. After two hectic tours of operational duty as a fighter pilot (including some desperately dangerous low-level flying at Dunkirk) he was posted to AFDU (Air Fighting Development Unit) and remained there as a test pilot for the rest of the war. He flew both Allied aircraft and captured enemy planes and was a colleague of many of the fighter ‘aces’. Fortunately for us, Len kept an insightful diary, which, set alongside his log book, tells the unique story of a member of the AFDU, tasked with developing operational tactics and testing captured enemy aircraft. Len provides not only an insight into the amazing work done by the test pilots but also into some of the most famous flyers of the RAF, with whom he worked, including Wing Commander Al Deere and Spitfire Aces SL ‘Paddy’ Finucane, Ernie Ryder, and many others. Len’s diary for September 21 1942 records the first sighting of the feared FW190: ‘The pilot performed a series of quick rolls...metaphorically sticking up the proverbial two fingers.’ In May 1943 Len would be test flying the same type after pilot Heinz Erhardt mistakenly landed one at Marston!

This is a fantasy of time that might have been long before recorded history was written of people who existed and left their signs of being here, not only on the strange standing stones we pass daily without seeing them, but also in the customs and the way they lived. As they lived, we live, trying to avoid some of the same scourges of society, such as human trafficking and the enslavement of the unfortunates in our world. It is a love story of an awkward young man and an equally awkward young woman, who, despite their lack of social skills, forged a love that was stronger than all of their inadequacies. A love that was immediate, romantic, and compelling, even overcoming the torture of her soul. It is a story of treachery overcome by the most unlikely means by the resolve, courage, and fidelity of one man and twenty young women, the team, against overwhelming odds. Indeed, it is the story of the perfidy of men and the fidelity of women. Today in our own time, we learn almost every day of young girls being kidnapped to satisfy the appetites of the human traffickers of our modern world, sold as slaves into the sex trade?s ferocious needs and appetites for younger and younger girls. Even now in our somewhat-enlightened world, organizations exist to prevent the sale of young six-year-old girls being sold to work in the sweatshops of some Eastern manufacturers so that unscrupulous merchants can enjoy greater profits. I cannot wield Rahana?s club. Is the pen mightier than the club? Perfidy or fidelity? That is the question this story is asking you.

When Britain declares war on Germany in 1939, Carolyn Maddison is still a schoolgirl. Her elder brother Alastair wastes no time in joining the RAF as a flying officer, and Carolyn decides that when she is eighteen she will follow him into the service by joining the Women's Auxiliary Air Force. While reporting to the Air Ministry in London she meets a good-looking, charismatic pilot, Charlie Wade, currently employed in propaganda work. He believes that with her calm demeanor and resilience, Carolyn should work as an Intelligence officer, and suggests she serve on an active bombing station. At her side throughout the courses and postings that follow is Lucy Gaston, naturally quick-witted and sparky, a perfect foil for her friend. The young WAAFs both obtain prestigious postings in 5 Group Bomber Command, where they perform the vital tasks of briefing and debriefing aircrew returning from operations over Germany. Lucy, an incorrigible optimist, falls head over heels for a member of a Lancaster bomber crew while Carolyn resists her feelings for its dashing pilot. She decides it's not worth the risk of loving a man in wartime. . . only to wonder if she has done the right thing when a new WAAF on the station sets her cap at him. For Lucy and Carolyn, life on a WWII bombing station brings drama, heartbreak and suspense in this touching love story.

All books are magic, but some are more magical than others. When Susan opens a strange library book, she discovers it is about her and her friends, leading up to the moment when she opened the book. Beyond that, the pages are blank . . . waiting for the children to wish the book full of adventures. Fredericka asks for wizards and beasties, and a dragon carries her off. Susan journeys to the world of Half Magic, and finds that mixing magic creates trouble—far too much to deal with before the book is due back at the library. Wishing, it seems, is a tricky business. And if the children make the wrong wish, their adventure won't end, as all stories must, happily ever after.
